Love of travel and working with people has always been a priority for Alison France. Alison grew up in Schaumburg, IL, and after attending Texas Christian University, ventured far early on in her career. She spent several years working in the resort industry throughout the Caribbean and in France. Following her experience abroad, she returned to the United States and worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines for 20 years, being based both in Chicago and London.
Alison’s start in real estate began when she and her husband (a commercial airline pilot and custom home builder) built their first home. Her love of people and houses created a natural transition towards working in real estate. She has been with RE/MAX from her start in 2003, first with RE/MAX Professionals East and then RE/MAX Excels. Alison’s experience includes working with both buyers and sellers but she especially enjoys working with first time home buyers, taking them through the entire process. She is an independent, full-service agent who is available to her clients 24/7. Alison recently served as secretary on the board for the Women’s Council of Realtors.
Giving back to the community is also a typical part of Alison’s life. She has worked as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer for the last 3 years working as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children in Kane County. She also serves on the CASA Auction committee for their annual event which raises funds for CASA programs and the children involved in CASA. Alison says the best part of working with CASA is “it is so uplifting and positive. Everyone is there for the purpose of serving the children.” In addition to volunteering for CASA, Alison also volunteers for Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to seniors.
Alison and her husband, Ron, have been married for 25 years, and have a son and daughter. They have lived in the Fox Valley for 20 years. Recently, her son, Evan, was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps at Quantico, VA, which Alison admits was absolutely one of the proudest and happiest moments of her life. Another joyous moment for the France family was this past August when Evan was married and they welcomed their new daughter-in-law Kenzie into their family. Alison's daughter, Kahley is currently a senior at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, and will graduate in May 2018 with a business/marketing degree.
