RE/MAX Excels agent Kathy Brothers makes a habit of giving back.

Spring 2018

Giving back to the community is second nature for Kathy Brothers.  This past Spring, her service to others included working with high school students, helping them develop compassion for those in need.

In April, Kathy traveled to Victory Mountain Camp in North Carolina with 100 students from Aurora Christian School plus parents, tradespeople and other adults from the community.  For six days, teams of students and adults were set in place, working from 8 - 5 daily building cabins, landscaping and refurbishing buildings.

During May, Kathy continued her service to the community a little closer to home.  She joined the entire student body of Aurora Christian School in a day of giving.  Teams of students and parents spent the entire school day serving over 20 different organizations in the Fox Valley, taking care of any jobs they needed done including organizing, landscaping, and cleaning.  Kathy and her team of students served at Wayside Cross Ministries in Aurora, organizing donations of clothes.   Kathy shared: “The students took pride in their work, treating the job like they were organizing their own homes.  Doing something greater than themselves and going out and serving Jesus really showed a lot of heart and passion in these students.  It really reinforced my belief in our youth and their strong work ethic and dedication.”
